We recently refurbished a cast steel rotary valve that is attached to a pump discharge.
The pump was operating in a Sugar Mill.
The valve appeared to have some areas of wear, so was sandblasted.
We crack tested the valve body and found some cracks.
We welded the cracks to repair the valve.
We then sandblasted the valve body again to get a perfectly clean surface and coated it with a hard wearing ceramic epoxy coating. The valve was then ready for reassembly and ready to go back into use.
